There’s been a couple of articles circulating the news and various sites recently which have captured my interest both carrying the 20 year theme; “How the contents of our fridges have changed over 20 years” and the end of an era as we say goodbye to Tesco Value.

Having just got back from a snow holiday at Passo Tonale in Italy I thought it only right to share the dinner menu from my fantastic week. My hubstar, brother and I stayed in piste-side accommodation, the Hotel La Mirandola, renowned for its food, decor and location; and the restaurant was just beautiful. |

IndigoDaisies is on tour and while I’m away I hope to give you snippets of my food and drink highlights.
So what better to celebrate and enjoy my Farm & Cottage Holiday (and a great win) than with my favourite champagne Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top, yummy.
We’ve also treated ourselves to some gorgeous Waitrose nibbles and treats; organic pork pate with orange marmalade, Scottish salmon smoked over pear and heather, spicy salsiccia, Italian prosciutto, sun drenched puglian tomatoes and a selection of delicious cheeses. Yummy I’m off to enjoy…

comforting cheese on toast

Now my next article was going to be on the delicious Thai curry my lovely husband cooked on Thursday but since having a late night cheese on toast snack last night I want/need to talk about that. Of course the cheese I’m talking about here is Cheddar.
There is something lovely about cheese on toast and you can often forget what a lovely snack it is. And it was the perfect snack last night. Buttered toast with lashings of sliced cheese, a splash of Worcester sauce and then melted under the grill.
